having a significant impact on patient quality of care by ensuring that there are no errors in the
administration of medication to patients or in the abstracting of patients’ information into the
health systems. Any inaccuracies in a patient’s health information or medication administration
can result in serious injuries to the patients and legal action against the hospital (Snyder, 2011).
Potential Problems with the quality of care and information systems implementations

With adopting and making meaningful use of new EHRs, there are concerns that facilities
face when implementing new EHRs. For example, financial expenses in implementing a new
EHRs cost effecting and use of the EHR system can be very expensive. Workflow and staffing is
another potential problem, some providers are used to accessing patients health information
using a paper record, so implementing an EHRs will be a challenge for most physicians, they
will comply with the new change, but in reality, they do not want to work with EHR at all.
Overall, the most problematic issue of information system is security and privacy. Unavailable
bandwidth will cause a risk for hackers to hack patients’ information. Individuals’ personal
information is stolen regularly in the economy today. Effective communication is critical to the
successful implementation of new EHRs (Biederman & Dozel, 2017).

An electronic health record (EHR) system is a computerized system that aids in the
collection of an individual’s health information from birth to death so that it can be recorded,
certified, and shared in many locations by healthcare practitioners. The fundamental goal of
deploying EHRs is to improve treatment quality by decreasing medical errors, offering an
effective means of communication, sharing information among healthcare practitioners, and
gathering health data for educational, and research purposes ( Haghani, Halen& Mirani, 2021).

Health-related information there is always the possibility of a future event, accurate,

in the ever-changing environment. As a result, it should be current and instantaneous. This will
